We are investing in a number of digital initiatives that are expanding our ability to better serve advertisers and reach consumers. These include SocialCode, a full-service Facebook advertising agency; and Trove, a personalized news aggregation service. In addition, we seek out and evaluate innovative consumer Internet and technology companies that may be valuable as standalone businesses or in association with one or more of our operating units. Often, we explore strategic partnerships and in certain cases, we make investments or acquisitions.

Trove is a personalized news aggregation service that combines innovative technology and human curation to keep users informed about their interests. Released as a public beta in April 2011, Trove is available on the Web and on a range of mobile devices: iPhone, iPad, Android and BlackBerry.

Celtic Healthcare is a multi-state provider of Medicare-certified home healthcare and hospice services. Celtic's service area spans throughout western, central and northeastern Pennsylvania, and Montgomery and Baltimore counties in Maryland. Celtic Healthcare has earned national recognition for its proprietary technology and specialized chronic disease management programs utilizing virtual and telehealth technologies. The Washington Post Company acquired a majority interest in the company in November 2012.
