Kaplan University School of Professional and Continuing Education serves customers who must comply with regulatory requirements and who want to earn professional designations to help them advance in their careers. Through classroom instruction and hundreds of online courses, Kaplan is one of the premier providers of exam prep and continuing education in the accounting, insurance, securities, real estate, financial planning, healthcare, information technology, architecture and engineering fields. In addition, our technology based compliance solutions help companies manage learning initiatives and track corporate compliance activities – all critical to doing business in an increasingly complex regulatory environment.
Kaplan is the world leader in test preparation and has served millions of students since its founding more than 70 years ago. With a comprehensive menu of online offerings, books and software, as well as classroom locations worldwide, Kaplan offers preparation for more than 90 standardized tests for college and graduate school admissions and English-language proficiency. In addition, Kaplan Test Prep offers academic tutoring and pre-college test prep for students in their K through 12th grade years.
Kaplan Test Prep also offers programs to prepare physicians and nurses for professional licensure. Additionally, Kaplan Test Prep offers full-service bar review for aspiring attorneys in 25 states, as well as review for the multistate portion of the bar exam nationwide. In 2009, Kaplan Test Prep provided courses to more than 638,000 students and professionals.
Kaplan’s international programs are designed to help students achieve specific educational goals and provide career qualifications that enable them to compete effectively in a global marketplace. Kaplan International is comprised of two units: Kaplan Europe and Kaplan Asia Pacific.
Based in London, Kaplan International Colleges (KIC) offers English-language and university pathway programs for international students at over 50 locations in the U.K., Ireland, U.S., Canada, Australia and New Zealand. KIC programs include a wide range of English courses for adults and younger students and an extensive portfolio of university pathway programs delivered in partnership with top universities.
Kaplan’s other European operations include: Kaplan Financial, a leading provider of training for accountancy and finance qualifications and higher education programs; Dublin Business School, Ireland’s largest independent higher education and professional training institution; Kaplan Law School, which trains solicitors and barristers; Kaplan Altior, which specializes in skills training for the legal sector; Kaplan Hawksmere, which offers continuing professional development courses for legal and business professionals; and Kaplan Open Learning, which offers online degree programs in business management, financial services and criminal justice, primarily for working adults.
