| Skip Valet Vice President and General Manager, WKMG – Orlando Skip Valet began his Post–Newsweek Stations career in 1982. He has been the news director at three PNS stations: KPRC in Houston, WJXT in Jacksonville and WKMG in Orlando. Valet was part of the team awarded a Peabody Award for a documentary about domestic violence, and he was received an Emmy for coverage of an Amtrak train derailment. Valet's newsrooms were recognized by the Radio and Television News Directors Association's National Edward R. Murrow Awards three times, once for "Continuing Coverage" and two consecutive years for "Overall Excellence." Valet graduated from the University of North Florida. He and his wife, Brooke, are the parents of two children, Alec and Victoria. | ![]() |
