Gregory J. Osberg

President

Gregory J. Osberg is president of Newsweek, Inc., responsible for all advertising sales, marketing and brand development for Newsweek, including the magazine's U.S. and international editions and has general management responsibility for its website, Newsweek.com. He had served as executive vice president/worldwide publisher of Newsweek since October 2000.

Osberg previously worked for Newsweek from 1990 to 1997, as associate advertising director and then vice president/associate publisher. He left Newsweek in October 1997 to become president of sales and marketing for CNET, where he directed advertising sales, strategic development, and marketing for both CNET: The Computer Network and CNET's online service, Snap! Online.

Osberg left CNET in 1999 to become president of Kaplan Professional and shortly thereafter was named the founding president of BrassRing.com, an Internet recruitment-services company.

Osberg's previous publishing experience includes U.S. News & World Report, where he served as vice president of advertising sales for eight years. He has served on the Board of Directors of the Internet Advertising Bureau and on the marketing committee of the Magazine Publishers of America and currently serves on the MPA’s Magazine Marketing Coalition and the Global Leadership Council for the College of Business at Colorado State University.
