
Henry Maldonado
Vice President and General Manager, WKMG-TV
Henry Maldonado, vice president and general manager of WKMG-TV in Orlando, joined Post-Newsweek Stations in 1981.
Maldonado's previous assignment was vice president of audience and sales promotion for all six Post-Newsweek Stations. Prior to that, he served as vice president of programming and promotion for WDIV-TV in Detroit.
Before joining PNS, Maldonado was executive producer for special projects at WCBS-TV in New York, where his First Amendment Project earned numerous awards. He was program director for cultural affairs at WGBH, the PBS station in Boston, where he created and produced one of the first sitcoms geared to teenagers, The New Voice. Previously, Maldonado had been executive producer of WNBC-TV in New York; he began his career at WBZ-TV in Boston as a producer/director.
Maldonado attended Boston University, where he earned a BS degree in broadcasting and film. He did graduate work at Emerson College, where he was a graduate assistant in mass communications.
Maldonado was born in Caracas, Venezuela. He and his wife Joanna have three children and live in Longwood, FL
